Make Friends

Show your support for grassroots peacemakers in Afghanistan. The Afghan Peace Volunteers are a group that “live together and promote peaceful coexistence, simple living and self-reliance. They receive no salary, and they don’t promote any particular religious or political party.” Whether you’re a group or an individual you can send them a message of friendship at They want to find two million friends globally, to remember the two million victims of the war in Afghanistan over the past four decade.

You can also speak to them on the 21st of every month on a Global Day of Listening. If you have any questions to ask a group of young people in Kabul, or if you just want to say hello, then get in touch through the GDL website and book a slot. You can also connect with them through Facebook.

And don’t forget to send us a picture of yourself or your group for us to upload here, to show the support of ordinary UK people for ordinary Afghans, despite the games played by our politicians. You can email us at .
